LUNA RED - BIO

Luna Red (previously known as Parker Richards) is a multifaceted, Afro-Indigenous, RnB/Pop performing artist from Tkaronto, Ontario. She has been a professional urban dance artist for about 15 years and a recording artist for about 4 years. She currently works at imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival as the Events + Outreach Manager and is deeply inspired by the works that feed through the imagineNATIVE platforms.

To speak to some of Luna’s music + video creation experience, Luna has released 4 official music videos and singles called “Wherever You Are” (2017), “Good Kind” (2018), “Watching Me” (2019) and “Lost Tribe” (2021). Luna has come to understand the power of creating art, which has encouraged her to utilize her creativity to enhance visual representation, to empower the underrepresented and to encourage unity. Luna directed, produced and choreographed for her most recent music video, called “Lost Tribe.” “Lost Tribe,” placed 2nd for the Audience Choice Awards at the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival. Luna is currently working on a 5 song EP focused on her journey back to self.

Moreover, Luna has performed live choreography for many large events, stage concerts, and in television and music videos, such as Crown Lands - “End of the Road”, the Bruno Mars Canada Tour and more. Teineisha has performed or worked for some of today’s industry icons such as Little X, Sean Paul, Trey Songs, Drake, Kim Davis, Barrington Levy, Kardinal official, and more.

As an Afro Indigneous woman, it has been a struggle for Luna to find her place within Community. Luna wants to challenge the history that was forced upon her by western society and tell a different story - her story. Luna strives to entertain her audience and while she has their attention, she aims to share a valuable teaching. Luna believes the performing arts are a fun way to teach and an even more fun way to learn.

Dubbed “Hip Hops kid sister”, Keysha Freshh blends everything you love about the 90’s with everything you appreciate about Hip Hop. Born in Toronto, Keysha found a love for hip hop spending summers in NYC. She was exposed to the culture at an early age, listening to mixtapes her cousins would have. Keysha had her first song published when she was 5 years old, the song was titled “Summers coming” and she has been performing ever since. Keysha performed her first written rap, at the age of 12 while she was a member of the Toronto Children Concert Choir.

After expressing her desire to record music to hit maker and super-producer T-Miuns (credits: Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj) he referred Keysha to a local studio and she recorded her first song “Pardon my swag”. In 2009, Keysha then went on to record her very first official single “Hollywood Fresh”, which received rave reviews and radio play across North America. Keysha was the youngest female Hip Hop artist to have 3 songs in rotation on 93.5FM (then Flow 93.5) which, at the time was Canadas leading urban radio station. The remix to “Hollywood Freshh” soon followed featuring Gunna (who also produced the beat) and Hip Hop artist MIMS (This is why I’m hot). MIMS along with Hip Hop legend Doug E Fresh also appear in the music video for “Hollywood Fresh”.

After the success of her first single, she has recorded 1 demo project, 2 mixtapes, 4 EP’s 1 collab album (All The Wrong Places; Pearls and bones) and one group album (Pledge; The Sorority). Keysha has shared stages with artist such as; Joey Bad a$$, Miguel, Drake, Snoop Dogg, Jidenna, The Internet, DVSN, Main Source, Dan Hill, MC Lyte, Smif-N-Wessun, A TRAK, Cassidy, Ghostface and many more. 90’s Rap Duo, “Brasstacks”, Diamond Eye’s and Battle Cat aka Eye’s & Cat, hailing out of Toronto, Canada are currently celebrating their 25th Year Anniversary of their debut commercial released in 1996, off of their vinyl, A-Side: Icebreaker Classic & B-Side: Hidden In Sight (Hidden Insights), produced by Down To Erf.

Battle Cat and Diamond Eye’s were childhood friends, growing up in the early 90’s, as b-boys listening to KRS-1, and EPMD, to name a few, while watching movies such as Crush Groove, Beat Street and Breaking gave these young men the vision to start their own music… Brasstacks (Before Reaction Analyze Situation Serious Talk All Conscious Knowledge Sense) was created in 1994.

Brasstacks came in with a bang, rap battling on every block in Toronto straight down to New York. Making their mark on the East Coast.

Brasstacks first rap album paved the way down to The Bay area of California, with their hit singles “Icebreakers Classic” and “Hidden In Sight (Insights), charting the Top 10 in the Bay area for 6 months straight. Brasstacks was then invited to California to perform at the “The Gavin” Music Conference alongside Mos Def, Smith & Wesson, Killer Priest, Cocoa Broz, Wu-Tang, Too Short and E-40 to name a few. Which then landed Brasstacks memorable interviews with HOT97 – Blahzah Blahzah and Nasty Nas and WBLS in New York with DJ Silver Surfer.

In 2001 Much Music debuted their music video “Empires”, which they independently shot in Trinidad. After a good run on Much Music, Brasstacks decided to recreate “Empires” and make the first ever, 2 songs in one music video in Canada: “Empires/Whip Up A Batch”. Which brought them to tour throughout Canada: Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Saskatoon where some highlighted moments.

Growing up with a great passion for music and living their dream, Brasstacks decided to go their separate musical ways… Battle Cat started an alternative group known as “Catalog And The Easy Street Band ” where he continued as a lead vocalist and songwriter working with Canadian alternative and rock bands and production company Detroit Rain. Diamond Eye’s opened Parma Media Record Label, managing and producing the younger up and coming artists from Canada, United States, UK and Africa.

With 2021 being their 25th year anniversary, Brasstacks releases their first mixtape in 20 years, The #LostTapes, January 14th 2022. Following their first commercial release: “BT25” – Brasstacks 25, in March 2022.

The singer-songwriter performed her new music to a receptive audience at 2022 awards season Charity events including an Oscars viewing dinner, as well as a Grammys after Party.

The Canadian genre-bending multi-talented entertainer who is a Toronto Children’s Chorus alum is a cultural delight with over seven years studio recording experience. She was fresh off of a debut booking at the iconic El Mocambo venue in Hollywood North.

Shaquille "Perks Boss" Hibbert , is a Jamaican born Musician who’s now living in Toronto, Canada.
Perks Boss has been playing music all his life. He started out as a marching band and Jamaican traditional "Nine Night" drummer where he fell in love with music; he would later continue by joining his school band/choir and he has never stopped doing music from that day.

In 2016 he relocated to Canada where he continued playing music as a percussionist in internationally known Warrior Love Band. After playing percussion for some of dancehall and reggae’s biggest superstars PERKS BOSS has gained confidence and has begun making music of his own . He launched his debut Ep/Album in August 2020 Rocky Road and a few more singles throughout 2021 and 2022 . He has many more amazing projects to come.
